Shere Hills Experience
Lots of experiences were acquired at the Mountain School, Shere Hills. A summary of the leadership lessons from our 2018 Training Course includes:
- Resilience: "Never say I can’t deal with any challenge. Give it a try and again." (Jacob ladder obstacle, rock climbing, abseiling)
- Courage: "Fear is our greatest enemy to victory: be courageous and confident." (Sliding rope obstacle, parachute jump)
- Service: "Leadership is a call to serve and not to be served." (Doing chores with and for others)
- Teamwork: "No man is an island. Team work does it all." (Rafting, climbing walls)
- Persistence: "It is not about how well you start but about how well you finish a thing that matters."
